Throwback Brewery just can’t get rid of us! We stopped by again on January 31st to watch them brew their Oyster Stout, as part of their Unafraid of the Dark series. This is the third year where, starting in January, Throwback releases a new dark beer every two weeks that highlights a local ingredient. This year those ingredients have included blackberries, apples, salted caramel and now oysters.
It was a busy day at the brewery. Chris was delivering kegs to local restaurants and Cheryl was bottling Hog Happy Hefeweizen and Dippity Do. They also had a firkin of Amber’s Amber with a lemon balm for folks to try. Tom of Out.Haus Ales in Northwood, NH was on hand with his dog Peanut to help Chris get the firkin flowing.
